Alan Harper brings over 45 years of Telecoms and Engineering experience to Genesis, specialising in technology delivery, process engineering, and capability development. He spent 20 years in fixed-line technology with BT before moving into mobile network delivery at the start of the 2G era, supporting the evolution of Cellnet through to Virgin Media O2. Alan is a recognised expert in mobile rollout, transmission, and radio services, with extensive experience delivering Radio Access Networks (RAN) ranging from small pico cells to large-scale stadium, transport, and city-wide deployments. His recent projects include delivering mobile access services over satellite technology and enabling 4G and 5G connectivity across the London Underground network. At Genesis, Alan brings strong stakeholder management, operational leadership, and process engineering expertise, helping clients successfully deliver complex network transformation programmes while strengthening both new and existing business practices
